They’ll get to know you at the world basketball cup!

Publips was entrusted with coordinating the sponsorship of the 2014 FIBA World Basketball Cup for multinational home appliances brand Beko.
The highlight of all the actions was the placement of an eye-catching 216 metre canvas that covered one of the façades of the Puerta del Sol. The canvas simulated the building’s real façade with balconies crowded with basketball fans and with several blue basketball sticking out from the façade, giving a true sense of realism to the image.

We also organised the Beko Home space in Madrid city centre. A unique venue with 500m2 distributed across two floors and fitted with the latest home appliances, with a distinctive ambiance and decoration that sought to recreate a real home environment. Inside, basketball fans were able to watch all the games live and enjoy many entertaining activities, contests and gastronomic workshops that were open to everyone and free of charge.

These actions were part of a comprehensive advertising, communication and PR campaign that included Beko’s Fan Zone in 5 of the 6 cities that hosted the championship (Granada, Seville, Bilbao, Barcelona and Madrid); as well as street marketing and actions with the official mascots (Hole and Hop) at points of sale busy areas of Barcelona and Madrid.
